About Us

History

Orv Hanken started Duo-Tec Tool & Machine Company in 1972 to support the rapidly growing industry of high-speed, precision metal stamping. However, in the mid-1980’s the stamping industry began to suffer a decline. It was at this time, Orv’s son Dale decided to purchase for Duo-Tec Tool & Machine two programmable Wire EDM Machines. With the addition of the programmable Wire EDM Machines, they were able to create intricate detailed parts more efficiently by programming the Wire EDM’s to run a series of repeatable operations instead of using traditional manufacturing methods of set-ups and runs per part. To this day Duo-Tec Tool & Machine continues to operate with this type of forward thinking and the ability to recognize an opportunity to better serve our customers ever changing needs. Our mission is to continue to be a reliable resource for our customers; to partner with them to develop and advance their projects. We honor the trust they have placed in us and welcome the opportunity to provide for them the best possible support and service.

Today

Fifty years later, what began as an opportunity to support the high-speed, precision metal stamping industry, Duo-Tec Tool & Machine has grown and evolved into a specialized business with many custom capabilities far exceeding Orv’s initial expectations. We truly are a “one-stop-shop” with the ability to design and manufacture one component or assemble a complete fixture all under one roof. Our team of highly trained craftsmen includes Dale’s sons, Craig and Kevin. Having one owning family, Duo-Tec Tool & Machine continues our family’s legacy of providing quality products with superior service to our valued customers. With strong and steady leadership Duo-Tec Tool & Machine continues to grow and thrive while remaining true to our mission. We strive to exceed your expectations!
